Tyler Los-Jones produces objects and images from his home near the Rocky Mountains of Alberta. Since graduating from the Alberta College of Art and Design (now Alberta University for the Arts) in 2007, he has explored a fascination with photography’s role in producing and fulfilling cultural expectations for environments. His work, which often entangles photographic and sculptural processes, has been exhibited extensively across Canada and the US. Recent exhibitions include The knots of the net at Norberg Hall (Calgary), Look slowly and all that moves at the Confederation Centre Art Gallery (Charlottetown) and a slow light which was exhibited at the Southern Alberta Art Gallery (Lethbridge) and Division Gallery (Toronto). His new public artwork, Knit by roots and wings, was installed in Kelowna, BC, in September 2024.
